This is not a very fun selfie.

I need you to see this photo—it's a great example of why the COVID-19 pandemic here in America is nowhere near under control.

That's me. And that's an airplane jammed full of passengers while a highly-contagious, sometimes fatal coronavirus ravages our country.

I have to fly to get to my job: serving the people of Oregon in the U.S. Senate. Other people have to fly for other reasons. But none of us need to be sitting shoulder-to-shoulder.

Sign my petition: stop filling airplane middle seats.

Right now, airlines are still packing as many passengers into their flights as possible, trying to make as much money as possible. All while infection rates risk are spiraling out of control across the country and we're approaching 185,000 deaths.

Sign the petition: urge Congress to save lives, by passing my legislation that bans airlines from seating people in middle seats during a pandemic.
