The person who wins the most votes should win an election. Period.
This is especially critical for our nation's commander-in-chief. No president, Democratic or Republican, should ever be sworn into office after losing a popular vote.
The electoral college is badly outdated and allows this to happen. We saw it most recently in 2016, when Donald Trump lost by more than 3 million votes... but still "won" the presidency.
It's time for the electoral college to go. That's why I've introduced a constitutional amendment to abolish it once and for all.
