It's race day!
Today I'm doing 70 laps for my Race to Save the Senate. If you haven't chipped in already, I'm asking you to pitch in before I finish my laps.
A Democratic Senate Majority will be a real check on Donald Trump and his authoritarian actions. If we retake the Senate, we can help stop the assault on our democracy, block the extremist judges, and stop the corporate giveaways. If we don't, Trump and his allies can continue their destructive "Families lose, Billionaires win" policies.
That's why I'm out here doing 70 laps for my 70th birthday. It is a lot of laps, but it is nothing compared to what is at stake, and if I can keep going, then we can all keep fighting.
And this majority will be won or lost in a handful of races. We have six red-to-blue Senate seats that are now rated toss ups — North Carolina, Ohio, Maine, Alaska, Iowa, and Texas. And there are two red seats that have been moved from solid-red to lean-red, and independent candidates there have tremendous momentum — Kansas and Nebraska.
We have strong nominees who are running against Trump's big money machine and powerful interests, and Republicans are spending big to win. Every dollar we raise today goes toward building the Democratic Senate Majority that can stop Trump.
