Jimmy Kimmel, Fish Family Freedom, and The Wizard of Oz
Real momentum is building for Democrats. The wind is in our sails, and we must seize this moment. Will you pitch in to help us seize the momentum and take back the Democratic Senate Majority?
Look at what happened over the last week in the Texas, Alaska, and Kansas Senate races.
Trump's FCC tried to keep Jimmy Kimmel's episode with Texas candidate James Talarico off the air. So it went straight to YouTube instead. It garnered ten million views and counting. You can't censor enthusiasm, and Americans are showing up for it because they're fed up and ready to act.
In Alaska, Dan Sullivan debated Mary Peltola and got caught flat-footed on a question about fishing. He is so out of touch that he had to wait for her to answer first so that he could copy her answer. Alaskans noticed. The Fish Family Freedom movement is only getting stronger.
And in Kansas, the independent candidate, Rev. Adam Hamilton, is closing the gap in the polls. Kansas is Wizard of Oz country, and Adam Hamilton made news when he compared Washington Republicans to The Wizard of Oz characters, saying they do not yet have a brain, a heart, or courage.
This is what it looks like when the momentum shifts.
We have a real shot to save the Senate in November. If we win our own toss up seats — Michigan and New Hampshire — and take 4 of the approximately 7 red-to-blue seats, we'll be in the majority. If we take them all, we'll have a substantial majority.
That takes resources, and it takes them now. I'm putting our movement's energy and resources behind Democrats and progressives running in tough races across the country, because the movement only wins if we all win together.
Onward!
