The Mount Everest of corruption
Donald Trump's MAGA swamp is a mile deep and MEGA-wide. It's the Mount Everest of corruption.
He's bulldozing part of the White House — the People's House — to build himself a $200+ million gold-plated ballroom, funded by the same corporations and billionaires who have business before his administration.
At the same time, his family is running crypto schemes that let anyone, foreign governments included, funnel money straight to the Trump family in exchange for access and influence. There's no oversight or accountability. Trump is cashing in on the presidency in real time to the tune of $1.4 billion.
He even sued his own administration, then settled that lawsuit by creating a cash-for-cronies taxpayer-funded settlement fund that he could give to January 6 rioters and other Trump loyalists. While the fund is on hold for now, Trump talks about bringing it back all the time.
I'm not going to sit back and normalize this. I'm going to keep standing up in the Senate and calling it exactly what it is: corruption, on a scale we have never seen.
