What we fought for this month
This month, I've been pushing back hard against Trump's reckless and illegal war with Iran — introducing a War Powers Resolution, demanding Congress step in, and speaking out against threats to civilians that violate international law and put American servicemembers' lives at risk.
I've been leading the fight against Trump's disastrous families lose, billionaires win budget as Ranking Member of the Senate Budget Committee — a proposal that slashes investments in working families while pouring billions into war and cruel immigration enforcement.
At the same time, I've been standing up to efforts to undermine our democracy, including the so-called SAVE Act — a blatant attempt to rig elections and make it harder for CITIZENS to vote. I've said it before and I'll say it again: hell no.
When Trump pushes us toward war while saying we can't afford health care or child care, that tells you everything you need to know about Republican priorities.
When Republicans try to take away your right to vote, that tells you they know their agenda doesn't have the support of the American people.
And when they push a budget that cuts support for families while boosting spending on war and cruel immigration enforcement, it's the same story: families lose, billionaires win.
But here's the good news: we're not backing down.
I'm fighting every day in the Senate to defend our democracy, protect fundamental freedoms, and push back against an agenda that puts lives, rights, and livelihoods at risk. And with your support, we're building the grassroots strength it takes to keep showing up and winning these fights.
Onward!
