Here’s what I did this month

Every day, we hear stories from ordinary citizens about how Trump's policies are making life harder for working families. We all see the hurt caused by Trump's families lose, billionaires win agenda.

But we all need to do what we can to fight back and help each other. And I'm doing my part: I'm introducing real legislation that fights back and focuses on fixing problems people care about. This month alone, I've:

  • Introduced the American Homeownership Act with Sen. Elizabeth Warren and 16 other Democratic Senators to rein in corporate landlords and get housing back into the hands of the American people — ending tax breaks for Wall Street landlords and reinvesting those savings to expand affordable housing, lower costs, and help real families buy homes.
  • Introduced the Mental Health Career Promotion Act with Sen. Ron Wyden to strengthen the behavioral and mental health workforce — creating pathways for high school and community college students to train for good-paying health care jobs while addressing critical shortages in care.
  • Introduced the Stop Price Gouging in Grocery Stores Act of 2026 with Sen. Ben Ray Luján to ban surveillance pricing — stopping corporations from using your personal data to charge you the highest possible price at the grocery store.
  • Introduced the ICE Out of Our Faces Act with Sens. Ed Markey and Ron Wyden to rein in facial recognition technology at DHS — banning ICE and CBP from deploying invasive biometric surveillance systems that threaten our civil liberties.

That's just one month of work.

While Trump and his cronies are pushing policies that favor billionaires and expand unchecked power, I'm fighting to lower costs, expand opportunity, protect privacy, and put people first.

Tonight is our February fundraising deadline. If you believe in our progressive movement, chip in before midnight to help us stay strong and start March on the right foot.

Onward!
