Americans are paying the price

Across the country, states are preparing to close massive budget shortfalls because Donald Trump's Big Beautiful Betrayal law slashed Medicaid funding by nearly $1 trillion over the next decade.

This is the Republican legacy: ripping vital health care away from working families, seniors, and children — all while handing out tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations.

The Republican Big, Ugly BETRAYAL budget gutted Medicaid, and Americans will pay the price. Families will be forced to make impossible choices between paying rent and getting the care they need. Rural hospitals are already closing. And people will fall through the cracks of a system that's been deliberately undercut.

Democrats are fighting back — to restore the health care families need, to protect Medicaid, and to ensure that no one in America goes without care because of where they live or what they earn.

We can still reverse the damage, protect Medicaid, and build a health care system that works for everyone — but only if we keep organizing, speaking out, and standing together.
