Sometimes you have to take a break, refigure your plan, recharge, and get back out there
I just finished up my latest workout for my Race to Save the Senate to Save our Republic — though I've had to take a few days off due to back spasms.
And that's a good lesson for all of us. When the challenge is hard, things often don't go according to plan. Then you have to take a break, refigure your plan, recharge, and get back out there.
And that's what I'm doing.
You can watch my video from my latest workout here.
This week, I watched Donald Trump address the United Nations. His message? America is doing great under his leadership, and the rest of the world should follow his path.
In reality, we've had eight months of policies that have made Americans sicker and poorer: higher food prices, skyrocketing health care costs, and millions at risk of losing their health insurance thanks to Republicans' Big, Ugly Betrayal of a bill.
Trump's denial of climate chaos was just as shameful. The world is already suffering immensely from climate chaos — fires are burning a record number of acres, stronger storms are wiping away homes, and droughts are stressing farms and ecosystems across the planet — but Trump stood on the global stage denying this reality.
We cannot allow Trump to continue unchecked. We must put America back on track with a government of, by, and for the people — not billionaires, not MAGA extremists. That means getting off the couch, getting engaged, holding elected officials accountable, and joining together to build a powerful grassroots movement.
This is the fight of our time.
A Democratic Senate majority would derail Trump's authoritarian express train.
Will you chip in $25 before our September 30 end-of-quarter deadline to power our fight forward?
Onward,
Jeff
