We have a president who believes he can act like a king
I just logged my 17th workout in preparation for my Race to Save the Senate to Save our Republic. You can watch my video update here.
I'm in Washington, D.C., with the Washington Monument in the background, and thinking about the stakes of this moment.
When George Washington became president, many feared he would consider himself above the law, seize unchecked power, and act like a king. What made him such a beloved founder was that he resisted those authoritarian impulses.
But today, our Constitution is in grave trouble.
We have a president who believes he can act like a king — who tramples the rule of law, undermines our institutions, and threatens to undo American democracy itself.
The best chance to save our Constitution and save our Republic is the next election. That's why I'm running my Race to Save the Senate this October — to highlight just how high the stakes are and to build the grassroots power we need to win.
Onward!
