The Trump administration is robbing our children of their futures

The Department of Education is holding back $7 billion from our public schools — funds that Congress already approved — for essential programs like after-school services, English-language learning, and support for students from low-income families.

In the Republican rush to jam through Trump's awful revenue and spending bill, we can't let the administration's misguided decision to claw back critical education funding fly under the radar.

Trump is robbing our children of their futures to pad the pockets of the super-rich.

These programs aren't luxuries. They are lifelines for millions of kids across the country.

This is just one more example of Trump and his cronies willfully putting politics ahead of people — hurting students, parents, teachers, and entire communities in the process. Families lose, billionaires win.

We can't sit back while children are denied the resources they need to succeed.

I'm demanding answers and working with my colleagues to hold the Trump administration accountable, and I need you with me.
