Fighting authoritarianism

Over the weekend, millions of people took to the streets at No Kings rallies, united in one message: "No Kings, No Tyrants, No Dictators."

Across the country, Americans showed up to speak out against Trump's authoritarianism.

In the last week, we've seen too many examples of Trump and his administration doing everything in his power to harm our communities, demoralize us, and silence our voices, including shoving California Senator Alex Padilla to the ground and forcibly handcuffing him.

Let's be clear: the treatment of Senator Padilla wasn't an isolated incident. It was a power move meant to crush dissent and democratic resistance. But once again, it backfired. We won't stop raising our voices and showing them we won't sleepwalk into authoritarianism.

Make no mistake: We are facing a rising authoritarian threat, and what we do next matters more than ever.

Protest is powerful, but so is building long-term political power.

What does that mean? That means organizing. That means voting. That means electing leaders who will fight for our freedoms, not hand them over to Trump.

That's why I started The Blue Wave Project — a grassroots effort made up of people like you to elect progressive leaders across the country who are ready to stand up to authoritarianism, take on the powerful and the privileged, and protect our We the People democracy at every level.

Help us keep our grassroots momentum going strong and kick Trump's cronies out of power. Chip in to The Blue Wave Project and help us build the movement we need.
