The assault on our democracy is still happening now

Three years ago, on January 6, 2021, Donald Trump fomented an insurrection carried out by a mob of MAGA extremists who tried to overturn the will of the people.

As we begin 2024, just 10 months away from an election with enormous consequences for the future of our country, the assault on our democracy is still happening now.

MAGA extremists are already preparing for November by regurgitating the Big Lie, attacking elections officials, and filing spurious lawsuits to jam up our election system.

Meanwhile, election-deniers in public office are abusing the public trust by restricting access to the ballot box and blocking attempts to hold insurrectionists accountable for their sedition.

Donald Trump will likely be the Republican nominee for President, and we have to fight harder than ever against MAGA extremism or 2025 will be the year Trump tries to finish what he started.

Our democracy survived three years ago because people like you stood up to protect it and have been safeguarding it ever since. This year, we need to do more to ensure it can repel every attack Trump and MAGA extremists hurl at it. That's why we have to elect Democrats to win back the House, hold onto the Senate and White House, and win decisively against MAGA extremism.

We have a fight ahead of us, and I know that by working together, we can continue to reject hatred and extremism and build a democracy that represents the will of the people.
