We can choose: Hope – or despair.
Like you, I am angry and frustrated by the decisions being handed down by this radical Supreme Court.
But as I see it, we have a choice – a choice between hope and despair.
Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, and their MAGA allies want us to give up. They try to make us all afraid of each other, afraid of our neighbors, afraid of the future so we buy their extreme agenda – more guns, more pollution, more corporate giveaways, less reproductive freedom, less voting rights, less democracy.
No way. I'm not buying the MAGA Republicans' scare tactics.
I'm actually hopeful. I know, deep in my heart, that the American people and the people of Oregon are hungry for progressive hope instead of right-wing fear.
I'm determined to expand our Senate majority in November, so we will finally have a real pro-choice, pro-gun-safety, pro-voting, pro-clean-energy, pro-filibuster-reform majority we need to get things done and put our progressive values in action.
This is a moment for true progressive hope and action – the certainty that, if we organize harder than ever before, we can absolutely move our country forward.
Let's get organized. Let's fight like hell. Let's believe in the future. Let's work together.
