This guy.

I'll admit something to you.

Reading the U.S. tax code can be mind-numbing. It is deeply complex, loaded with arcane provisions, and nearly 75,000 pages long.

Which is exactly why it's so important that Senator Ron Wyden is leading the fight to make sure the ultra-wealthy and big corporations pay their fair share in taxes.

He's a detail-focused guy who knows what's hiding in those 75,000 pages and exactly what needs to be done to make sure that our progressive priorities get done.

As the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee — the committee responsible for the tax code — Senator Wyden is also working overtime to finally, at long last, end the big tax giveaways to the fossil fuel industry. We must tackle the climate crisis, and that means ending the hidden subsidies in the tax code for the polluters, drillers, and frackers.

Ron is up for re-election. I'm asking you to chip in $5 right now. Let's show Ron that we've got his back.

You know what else?

There's not a single U.S. Senator in the country that's been more accessible to the people than Ron Wyden. Since 1996, he's hosted a public town hall in every one of Oregon's 36 counties, every single year. To date, that's 966 town halls — no speeches, just an open forum for Oregonians to ask questions.

I'm fighting for the people of Oregon every single day. And every single day, I'm thankful that I've got a progressive partner in Ron Wyden leading the way.

The mid-year fundraising deadline is coming up on Wednesday. Chip in to Senator Wyden right now and let's make sure we keep him in the Senate doing one of the toughest jobs around.

Onward!

Jeff
