Losing her isn’t an option

Talking to my friend Maggie Hassan, a strong U.S. Senator for New Hampshire, I was reminded of something scary the other day:

When Maggie beat her Republican opponent — an incumbent — in 2016, it was the most expensive Senate race in New Hampshire history.

That was then. Before Trump and his allies got to raising giant piles of money to undermine our democracy and foment an insurrection.
