One of the bravest, most powerful women I've ever met.

I had prepared a long email to send you today about my friend, Senator Tammy Duckworth. It's her birthday, and she just announced her re-election.

That email is below.

But last night, the right-wing Fox News celebrity Tucker Carlson decided to attack women, like Tammy, who have served in the military — calling them "a mockery of the US military."

This isn't anything new for Tucker. Last year, he called Senator Duckworth "a coward" and an "unimpressive person". He's wrong. She's one of the bravest people I know and very, very impressive.

Will you show Tucker Carlson that we've got Tammy's back and pitch in a few dollars to help kickstart her campaign?

Jeff

p.s. Here's that long email I had planned to send you today:

What a week. It's more clear than ever that elections matter; that who is in charge matters. Job #1 as we look ahead to 2022 is to protect our Democratic champions in the Senate.

Senator Tammy Duckworth is one of the bravest, most powerful women I've ever met. And she's one of the most effective progressive Senators we have.

The good news: Tammy announced that she's running for re-election. Will you join me in pitching in to kickstart her campaign right now?

Tammy Duckworth first came to our nation's attention in 2004. She was piloting her Blackhawk helicopter in Iraq when she was shot down. She lost both her legs in that horrific incident. Just two years later, she ran for Congress as a powerful critic of the war in Iraq.

Elected to the Senate in 2016, Tammy's first term couldn't have come at a more critical time for our democracy. During her term, Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, and Republicans tried everything to cushion the ultra-wealthy, prop up polluters, and erode democratic participation — going so far as attempting to steal the 2020 election.

Please donate to Tammy's re-election today, so we can protect and expand our progressive Senate majority.

She's been a powerful voice, with a strong, progressive moral compass and a commitment to our democracy that inspires all of us.

I know that, as we push on into 2022, locking down Tammy's re-election early will only help us expand the map, to grow our progressive Senate majority and pass an even bolder, better agenda.

Please donate to Tammy's re-election today, so we can protect and expand our progressive Senate majority.

Onward!

Jeff

P.S. Here's a nice bonus: today is Tammy's birthday. Please join me in celebrating her and her hard work by kicking off her campaign with a strong start.
