I am once again asking you to sign a petition to save our democracy.

That was one big step for democracy!

Last night, the House passed the For the People Act, our sweeping anti-corruption and election protection legislation. Next up: The Senate.

This is a critical moment for our democracy. We must say NO to dark money, partisan gerrymandering, and foreign interference. And YES to automatic voter registration, vote by mail, ethics reforms, voting rights, and empowering grassroots donors.

Politicians who benefit from huge dark money contributions and voter suppression will lie about the For the People Act. They'll use whatever scare tactics they can to protect their big money donors and stay in power.

We can get this done. But only if we take the next step together.

That's why I am once again asking you to sign a petition to save our democracy.

Last time, Mitch McConnell blocked this reform effort. He didn't even give us a vote.

Now, Democrats are in charge. But it's not a done deal. To get it done, we have to raise the volume, and make sure everyone in Washington D.C. knows just how much this matters to the American people.

We ditched Mitch. We dumped Trump. Now, we need to save America. And the For The People Act is a big part of how we do that.

So please, sign my petition and urge the Senate to get the job done.
