BREAKING: It's the first bill we're introducing

We've been organizing for years to reform our democracy, and the day is finally here to get it done.

Senator Chuck Schumer, our incoming majority leader (sounds so good to say that!), has agreed to make the For The People Act the very first bill introduced in the new Senate.

Now let's get it done!

Today's announcement is a direct result of the hard work you've done — not just to support the cause, but also to support critical victories like those of Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, who will be sworn in as Senators shortly after Joe Biden and Kamala Harris take their oaths tomorrow.

We'll register millions of new voters, restore voting rights, enact new ethics rules, empower grassroots donors (like you!), ensure election security and guarantee paper ballots, end partisan gerrymandering, and more.

We have all seen how fragile our democracy is. We can't let a minority stoking white supremacy continue to erode government by and for the people. Everything we care about — health care and climate action and racial justice and economic opportunity — it all depends on a We the People government.

We've tried to get this done over the last two years, but were blocked by Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump's allies in the Senate.

Please sign my petition to support these critical reforms.
