What Kamala Harris did when Wall Street collapsed

Kamala Harris makes a great running mate for Joe Biden and will be a great Vice President for America. She's a fighter and a powerful force for justice.

I could say lots of nice things about my friend Kamala, but instead, I want to tell you a very specific story.

Think back to 2008.

Massive financial institutions turned Wall Street into an unregulated casino, designed to enrich themselves and rip off the American people. They put our entire economy at risk with their "mortgage backed securities" and "credit default swaps".

When it all came crumbling down, millions of Americans lost their jobs and their homes. It was an economic catastrophe.

In the aftermath, as Barack Obama and Joe Biden rebuilt our economy, Kamala Harris demanded accountability.

As California's Attorney General, she demanded that the big banks protect the people of California. Her big, bold move? She withdrew from the national settlement that was coming together, and secured $20 billion in relief for California homeowners.

And then, to make sure it didn't happen again, she fought for a new California Homeowner Bill of Rights—something Elizabeth Warren has called "one of the most comprehensive sets of foreclosure reform laws in the country."

Now, Donald Trump has destroyed our economy with his failed response to the pandemic. He's undermined working people and funneled taxpayer dollars to billionaires and corporate interests at every turn.

With our help and hard work, the Biden/Harris team is going to win in November. And then, we'll get to work—again—rebuilding the economy and putting Americans back to work.

Let's show our support for the Biden/Harris ticket. Chip in $3 right now.

Onward!
