Why I'm supporting the Oregon Worker Relief Fund:

Lots of people are hurting during this pandemic and recession, but some have it worse than most: there are Oregonians out there who, despite paying taxes, aren't eligible for unemployment or pandemic stimulus benefits.

I'm talking about families who, because Republicans in Congress excluded them from these programs, are now forced to make awful choices, choosing between paying bills or putting food on the table. Some may be rationing medicine or going to work while sick, which puts all of us at risk.

That's why I'm raising money for the Oregon Worker Relief Fund in partnership with the Oregon Food Bank. If you're able, please make a generous donation right now and let's ensure the neediest in our communities make it through this crisis.

This is beyond politics. It's about ensuring that everyone — no matter our racial background, ethnic identity, or our land of birth—can survive this pandemic, put food on the table, get the health care they need, and afford safe and secure housing.

This must be an effort from all of us, for all of us. Because it's going to take all of us to get through this crisis.

And that's why I'm asking you, if you're able, to make a donation right now. Join our partnership with the Oregon Food Bank to support the people in our community who are in desperate need right now.

We're all in this together.
