No more Kavanaughs
The Constitution is very clear. It's the US Senate's job to provide advice and consent on the President's nominees to the Supreme Court.
One year ago, Brett Kavanaugh was being considered for the Supreme Court. And the Trump White House engaged in a cover-up to ensure that the Senate never got the full picture of the very credible allegations of sexual assault against Kavanaugh.
The Trump White House prevented the FBI from investigating the many credible allegations of sexual assault by Kavanaugh and interviewing corroborating witnesses. They conspired to do so with Mitch McConnell and his Republicans in the Senate.
And they also actively concealed documents from Kavanaugh's time in the Bush White House, breaking with precedent and refusing to turn over thousands of pages to the Senate.
Let me be clear: Brett Kavanaugh has no business on the court. The lesson is as clear as day: we must take the Senate in 2020 and ensure this never happens again.
