It's called perjury, and it's a crime.
Last week, I went on MSNBC to share that I'd received a leaked memo proving that the Trump administration deliberately created the family humanitarian crisis at the border, specifically targeting children as pawns.
What we've long suspected is now clear for the world to see: the Trump administration is purposely choosing to inflict harm on children in a misguided attempt to deter people seeking safety from coming to America.
So, then, what do we make of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen telling the Senate under oath that there was no such plan? It's called perjury, and it's a crime. That's why I've asked the FBI to investigate her statements.
The Trump/Nielsen plan was fully-scripted and designed to cause as much damage as possible. Arresting family members who seek to sponsor the kids. Jailing children indefinitely in violation of current court orders.
To cover up their atrocities, the Trump administration lied under oath before Congress and the American people.
It's time for a great reckoning, starting with Homeland Security Secretary Nielsen. She must be removed from her position immediately.
