Donald Trump wants to open more huge, unregulated child prisons.
After all we've seen, Team Trump's answer is to double down on the inhumane treatment of immigrant and refugee children?
These prisons wouldn't be subject to state child welfare requirements. They likely won't provide access to education, to exercise, to legal aid.
It's cruel. It's wrong. But, under Donald Trump, it's increasingly clear this is not unusual.
These are innocent children, not prisoners. We are responsible for their well-being.
