I'm going back to Texas

In June, I went down to Texas to shine a light on a horrific humanitarian crisis.

Donald Trump ordered immigrant children to be taken from their families at the border. He locked them in cages and warehoused them in a former big box store.

When Americans across the country saw what was happening to those children, they were horrified. And together, we lit the fuse on a national movement to right this egregious wrong.

Despite forcing the Administration to back down on that child-snatching policy, the mistreatment of kids has continued. In fact, thousands of children are still jailed. More than 15,000 of them. Over 2,000 are being kept in a sprawling desert prison camp, where overnight temperatures are near freezing.

I'm going back to Texas this weekend because we need to show Donald Trump that we won't stop fighting back against his atrocities.

When we bear witness to their misdeeds, we help create change. And we won't rest while inflicting trauma on children continues to be a government policy.

We're taking this fight to Team Trump. And I'm thankful you're standing with me. Stay tuned.
