I don't have all the answers. But I do know one thing

I don't know what the future holds.

Tomorrow might be harder than today. Victories may be incremental. Setbacks will sting.

All we can ask of each other is to never stop trying to make our country a better place to live, to work, to raise a family.

Let's be honest and open. Let's not sugarcoat atrocities or oversell minor wins.

We're all off the edge of the map here.

As I travel Oregon, I meet so many people who tell me they never expected America to fall so badly off-track.

People whose families have been ripped apart by gun violence. People who are worried about being able to pay the rent or afford health care. People who watch in horror as we forcibly separate parents and children on our southern border, families searching for a better life, or who are feeling terror.

I tell them I don't have all the answers, but that I'm going to keep fighting. Because here is what I know: you don’t win unless you are in the fight.

Each new person we bring over to our cause, each voter we register, each voice we empower, makes our democracy that much greater.

I don’t know of a time in my life when it seemed more urgent, more important, for the power of the people to confront and win over the people in power.
