Damage that can't be undone

The Koch brothers and other fossil fuel barons have been waiting for this day a long time.

With extreme anti-environment voices in power, Congressional Republicans are rushing to push through a massive giveaway to Big Oil by opening up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) to drilling.

If they have their way, the damage to one of America's most pristine wilderness areas, wildlife, and Native communities could be massive and irreversible.

Sign my petition right now: tell Congress to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Where we see one of the country's most beautiful and sacred places, Big Oil sees dollar signs. Where we see caribou and polar bears, Big Oil sees oil derricks.

The Republican plan is to do this quickly by slipping ANWR drilling into the massive tax cut bill currently being debated in Congress. They hope that people won't notice their tremendous and terrible giveaway to Big Oil.

Let's show Republicans and Big Oil how wrong they are: join me, progressive members of Congress from across the country, and Democratic conservation groups by telling Congress to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

This is our chance. If we move forward with drilling and disruption, that's damage that can't be undone.

Sign my petition today. Let's stand up to Big Oil together!

Onward,
Jeff
