100 Towns
Jeff Merkley is visiting twenty-three towns on his 100 Towns for Change Tour starting today and through the weekend. Jeff is starting out this leg of the tour meeting residents in Coos Bay and ending his tour on Sunday in Molalla. On Independence Day, Jeff will be attending 4th of July parades in Cannon Beach and Seaside.
These events are a great way for Oregonians to meet a Jeff in person. You can talk to Jeff about the issues you care about and find out more about what Jeff will do for small towns all across Oregon as the next Senator from our great state. Check out the list of scheduled events here. Hope to see you there!

Jeff should come to Brookings!
I'm sorry I missed Jeff on his trip down here. I hope you use my little contributions to help fund a commercial responding to Smith's distortions of your record, like calling for a rainy day fund "voting against a tax rebate." As a member of Physician's for a National Healthcare Plan I am also less than impressed about his boasting of "preserving choice" in healthcare by preserving a system that exists only to benefit insurance companies, Big Pharm and private health care corporations. I would be interested in hearing gennuine plans for reform. Ultimately, I am convinced that a single payer system is the only viable alternative. While this may not be a great campaign point, I hope Senator Merkley will work for one.
