Hitting the Trail in Clackamas County

100 Towns
Jeff kicked off his 100 Towns for Change tour on June 14th and already he’s visited 35 towns and talked to hundreds of people from all over the state.
Jeff spent Sunday traveling Clackamas County, starting at the Farmers Market in Milwaukie. Then Jeff stopped at the Gladstone Senior Center for a town hall meeting and Biscuits Café in Canby for coffee with local community leaders.
Later in the afternoon, Jeff headed to the annual Molalla Buckaroo and met with folks who were dressed for the event, many of them in jeans and cowboy hats.
The first Buckaroo Roundup (as it was then known) was held in Molalla in 1913 to celebrate the arrival of a connection to the Portland, Eugene, and Eastern Railway.
After the Buckaroo, Jeff headed over to Long Park for a discussion about the importance of weaning America off of foreign oil and investing in renewable energy.
One of the questions Jeff has asked in nearly every place he’s visited is: “when was the last time Gordon Smith held a public forum here?” He’s been to 35 communities and, so far, no one can remember a visit from Gordon Smith.

You were in Molalla at Long Park on Sunday & I didn't get to ask the questions I would like to have answered. "What are you going to do to help Seniors" My husband & I retired about 15 years ago with our place paid for, a nest egg of savings & 401K's. Now low interest, devalued dollar, high gas prices & high pricer groceries every time you go to the store, then the utility bills are being raised--where is it going to stop? The Seniors & middle class need help!! What will you do to HELP? Please answer & I will forward it to a my E-mail list.
When will Jeff be coming to Hillsboro and Forest grove?

We haven't finalized the schedule for the rest of the 100 Towns for Change tour, but when we do, the information will be posted here on the blog.
Keep checking back to see where Jeff will be headed next.
Do you plan to visit Hood River on your tour? There are many wonderful things to see and many interesting places to visit. My husband and I just opened the Norman K. Vance Art Gallery at 202 Cascade Ave, Suite E. There is a nice little cafe - Sages - in the mall where you could have lunch. We could plan for your visit to the gallery by notifying our customers who might want to come to see you also.
Hi Anne. Jeff is planning on visiting Hood River at the end of August. Keep checking in at the website, we'll have details posted soon.
