Senate Guru: Smith continues his misleading ads

Senate Guru (whose blog comes highly recommended for those following U.S. Senate races around the country) has an excellent blog post that highlights Gordon Smith's "misleading and divisive" radio ads against Jeff Merkley.
As the Guru notes, Smith takes "hundreds of thousands of Big Oil dollars and does their bidding dutifully", except in an election year, when Smith makes a mild peep against Big Oil.

Gordon Smith is running ads in Central Oregon saying he is a centrist candidate who works with Democrats. Jeff needs to run ads showing all the times Smith has voted with Bush(and against most of the Oregon delegation) on the war and energy policy. These are two hot button topics in Central Oregon and two areas where I have noticed that Smith is "Out of Touch" and "With George Bush". He's even been part of Republican Senate efforts to keep legislation of interest to Oregonians (the war for example) from ever coming to a vote in the Senate. Please start these ads as soon as possible.
