This week, we launched the "Million for Merkley" drive to get our campaign for change to the million dollars raised mark.
The response has been incredible! We've already moved up just past the $970,000 raised mark.

Check my math here, but if the campaign had 913K as of 1/1/08, and now has 970K, that means 57K raised in 18 days. That's a little over 3K a day.
Yet until now, according to Blue Oregon the campaign had been doing $6000 a day. I'm sure they're happy to be continuing to move forward, but how is half the donations of a typical 2 weeks, an "incredible" response?
I'm not privy to the internals, but I'm pretty sure that has a lot to do with a) the natural dip at the beginning of a quarter, and b) lag in recording donations.
Regardless, we're excited to be racing past the million-dollar mark!
