Last week, the federal government announced that America lost 159,000 jobs this last month, the biggest drop in unemployment in more than five years.

Oregon needs a leader who is dedicated to growing the American economy and supports working families instead of corporate CEOs.

Jeff Merkley has a plan to create quality American jobs:

• Cancel or fix unfair trade deals including NAFTA and CAFTA.
• End federal giveaways to companies that ship jobs overseas
• End billion dollar giveaways to oil companies and invest in a new green economy
• Strengthen the Buy American Act
• Provide affordable quality health care to all Americans
