Jeff TV – The Issues: Energy

Right now America has an energy policy written by Dick Cheney and the big oil companies. In order to protect our national security and grow our economy, our nation needs a strategy for energy independence.

Jeff will work end the giveaways to big oil and make major investments in renewable energy, combating global warming and creating new American jobs that can’t be outsourced. He’ll fight to lower gas prices for families by closing the oil speculation loopholes, providing immediate relief to families and businesses, and increasing domestic oil production and supply.

Jeff Merkley has been a leader in putting Oregon at the forefront of renewable energy and he’ll continue to work for energy independence as Oregon’s next U.S. Senator.
