Urges Oregonians to Support Jeff Merkley

PORTLAND -- On the day of the first debate between Jeff Merkley and Gordon Smith, U.S. Senator Ron Wyden is taking to the airwaves to urge Oregonians to support Jeff Merkley for U.S. Senate. Wyden appears in the newest ad from the Merkley campaign to tell Oregonians that Jeff Merkley is the partner he needs to put the economy back on track, end the billions for big oil companies, and take care of our veterans.

"Even with a new President, Oregon won't get the change it deserves unless the U.S. Senate can deliver 60 votes to take the country in a very different direction from the policies of the Bush administration," said Senator Wyden.
