Solving the Nation's Nursing Crisis
Healthcare costs have skyrocketed and more and more families are concerned about
the quality of care. A national nursing shortage is contributing to rising costs and lower
quality. Studies estimate that the need for more registered nurses ranges from 500,000
to one million over the next ten to fifteen years.
Nurses are on the frontline of healthcare, often serving as the most important
advocates for patients and their families. America must address the growing nursing
shortage in our healthcare system immediately and Jeff Merkley is the only senate
candidate in the country with a plan to do it.
