Students for Merkley make the front page of the Statesman Journal!
This morning's Statesman Journal newspaper featured Merkley-supporting college students on the front page as they watched the returns from last night's Democratic Presidential primary:

College students from around the state are energized and excited about Jeff Merkley's campaign for U.S. Senate. They're working hard for Jeff by telling their friends, canvassing and working phone banks to spread the word about this campaign for change.
Jeff has a passion for the issues that are extremely important to students.
He is deeply commited to education. As the first in his family to go to college, Jeff understands the need for great schools and excellent teachers. Oregon's community colleges and universities saw a marked increase in investment under House Speaker Jeff Merkley. His leadership helped spark a stepped-up budget for capital construction, student scholarships, and research and development. Jeff also worked to double the funds available for student financial aid and made financial aid available to part-time students for the first time in Oregon’s history.
As U.S. Senator for Oregon, Jeff Merkley will fight to strengthen education by fully funding public schools, completely overhauling No Child Left Behind, fully fund Head Start and fully fund the Americans With Disabilities Act.
And that's just the beginning.
