SEIU Local 503: Jeff Merkley, leader for working families

SEIU Local 503 has released their report card on the 2007 Oregon Legislators. The report card grades each legislator in four categories on an "A+" through "F" scale.

Jeff Merkley received an "A+" rating in each category, the best possible grade that could be handed out to a legislator.

This morning on KPOJ radio with Carl Wolfson, SEIU 503's Executive Director Leslie Frane spoke about Jeff's willingness to go the extra mile on issues like health care, workers rights, consumer protection and public services. Frane remarked that Merkley's ratings weren't merely from his great voting record. His ratings are also due to Jeff's incredible leadership on issues important to working families.
